We plan to employ a store manager, but the project will only succeed if we can build up a band of volunteers to help keep the store running on a daily basis. We will need volunteers to help man the counter, stock the shelves, keep the store clean, carry out simple maintenance, provide professional advice and services and so on. No previous retail experience is required and training will be provided.
VOLUNTEERS – If you would like to join our volunteers list (no obligation), please complete the form below and include in your message whether you would like to be kept up to date with the project’s progress or offer your time or skills to help the project.
If you are offering time or skills you may prefer to help set the shop up or volunteer when it is open – please give us details of your offering!
DONATIONS – Everyone in the community will have the opportunity to purchase shares in the Society (launch on Thursday 26 April at 7pm in Preston Candover village hall) . Shares are £20 each. You may purchase up to a maximum of 100 £20 shares (i.e. a total investment of £2000). If you would like to invest more than £2000 in the store, we would encourage you to consider making a donation to the store and post office in addition to purchasing shares. If you would be interested in making a donation please contact Nevil Wilson, Tulls House, Church Lane, Preston Candover, RG25 2EN. If you would like to contact Nevil directly by email, please use the form below to request his contact details.
